Ans: The elephant entered the man’s hut and threw him out of the hut in the torrential rain. The man protested against this injustice. The King of the Jungle came to settle the matter and appointed a Commission of Enquiry. The King to investigate and settle a heated dispute between the man and the elephant, the king appointed the Commission of Enquiry.

17.How did the members of the Commission of Enquiry justify their decision not to include any man in The Gentlemen of the Jungle?

Ans: The man requested that a representative from his side should be included in the Commission. They argued that man was not experienced in jungle mattersand therefore he could not understand complex law of jungle. They claimed that the Commission should consist only of animals because the matter concerned the jungle and its inhabitants.
