FORMATION OF INTERROGATIVE SENTENCES (WH-QUESTIONS, YES/NO QUESTIONS AND TAG QUESTIONS)

 

WH-QUESTIONS

Wh-questions begin with a Wh-word (who, what, when, where, why, how) and are used to gather specific information.

 

 Formation:

 Wh-word + auxiliary verb + subject + main verb + (rest of the sentence)?

 

 Examples:

3. When will she arrive?

4. Where did he go?

5. Why are they late?
