1) This book of science fiction is about an alien who is
naughty. The book is also very
informative. I suggested the book to
a friend.
2) The teacher gave us an assignment on
an interesting topic. She told us to submit the assignment on
Monday.
3) The people were dissatisfied with the leaders’
performance. So they decided to boycott the
elections as a mark of protest. The leaders appealed to
them to reconsider their decision.
4) The
production of steel has gone
up by ten percent in the last one year. This may lead
to an increase of about twenty percent in construction costs in the country.
5) In
the interview, the candidate
was asked some interesting questions initially of his personal interests. A few more questions were asked on the same lines so that there would be no tension for the candidate.
6) Little Radha was in the garden filling in a hole when her neighbour peered through the fence, interested in what the cheeky-faced youngster was doing.
He politely asked, “What are you up to there,
Radha?
“My goldfish died,” replied Radha tearfully
without looking up, “And I’ve just buried him.”
The neighbor was concerned, ‘That’s an awfully big hole for a goldfish, isn’t
it?” Radha patted down the
last heap of earth and then
replied, “That’s because he is inside your cat.”
